MUN society is an organization of a small group of students who once or twice a week creates meetings to discuss the current issues around the world. Each student represents a different country and is in charge of searching the things that are taking place in their nations. During the meetings they debate among them solutions they believe could bring peace or positive things to the country. The other nations have the right to have an opinion and try to get involved in the arguments. Sometimes the discussions can get really spicy and the nations create big arguments about the resolutions. Schools all over the world include this type of club. A few months ago, the school’s team left to San Francisco, where they participated in a small friendly competition that took place. This year’s couches were Mr. Willet and Ms. Thur. Some of the team members added the name of EIS in the winner’s list. It was an honor for most of them to return home as winners of many other worldwide schools. Another Latin American country participating was Argentina. One of the team members who agreed for an interview stated that is had been an awesome experience for all of the team. They were able to compete, but also got the chance to travel around the city and meet somewhere new. I would highly encourage student to enter into the MUN organization not only because it’s fun, but because it will open some doors towards Universities. High prestige universities love their applicants to have some extracurricular activities in their record. It’s not something necessary, but it will give you a major plus when you’re trying to apply for college.

ReplyDeleteI think MUN offers a great chance to other stundents to lear about the world. One of our deeds as humans is to exchange things about our culture. EIS offers this opportunity to all students.
