Senior Entrance 2008

The senior entrance is a great tradition held here at EIS since its foundation in 1953. It consists of seniors walking into the school on their first day of classes. Usually seniors come in with fire trucks, police cars, motorcycles, ATV’s and many other attractive vehicles. This year it was really special, all 97 seniors entered the school in different vehicles; the majority of them were on the largest one which was the fire truck. Normally there has not been any trouble with senior entrances, except for last year when some students ruined the grass with their ATV’s but it’s understandable due to the amount of adrenaline and emotions during that day. This demonstrates how responsible and caring EIS students are. Before the senior entrance seniors are used to make a senior party at any of the student’s houses. Usually everybody stays awake until dawn and stay together until the next day which is the first day of classes. There’s a point of reunion for students, sort of a starting point in a race. For the last 20 years it has been in the TEXACO gas station at Zona Viva in front of Edificio Versalles. Recently the location has been changed to the Esso on the Run located right in front of 105 Brigada de Infanteria. Senior entrance is a very important chapter in the book of our life at EIS, it represents the beginning of the final cycle at school. Small kids from school wait for the day they become seniors and get to party hard like we do, enjoy our last year, and specially get the attention and love from everybody. Hopefully this tradition will live on forever and my children will be able to have a senior entrance like me.
